3 Christmas Gifts Ideas That Are Sure to Be a Hit
Well, it is finally here! The Christmas Season is officially about to kick-off. This is the time of year when we get into full “get it done” mode. With Thanksgiving lurking around the corner, we are not only worrying about the feast that is upon us but what we are buying as Christmas gifts (or at least I am!). Below you will find a list of three Christmas gift ideas to help take some of the worries away; if only for a few weeks.
1.The Stuffed Slippers
This time of year most of America has already been hit with cold weather. In fact, some places have already had a little snowfall! There is one thing everyone can use right now (and in the coming Winter months) it’s slippers. Now, the concept of this idea isn’t just a pair of slippers, but rather a pair of stuffed slippers. It is just as easy as it sounds too! In our case, we buy slippers for the kids. We then find about four items (two per slipper) and stuff them inside. As the kids have gotten older our stuffers have changed. We are at the point now where we buy small gift sets (around $5 at Walmart) that include things like lotions and body washes. You simply put the items in the slippers, put the slippers in a box, wrap it up, and you’re done!
2.The Personalized Ornament
I already know what you’re thinking – ” this is lame.” If I am completely honest, I once thought the same thing! It is really a neat idea though. Each year you buy or even make, an ornament personalized to the person you are giving the gift to. I usually try to do a themed ornament for whatever craze they kids are into that particular year. Not only do the kids really love this, but the ornaments can be used the following year to decorate the tree. It is really neat to see their different likes throughout the years and reminisce about their different phases!
3.The Christmas Eve Box
This Christmas gift idea has gained lots of popularity in the past few years. It’s no wonder why, considering how awesome the idea is! When I was growing up we had our own tradition of opening one small gift on Christmas Eve. I have carried on the tradition and the Christmas Eve box is the perfect gift for it! You simply fill a box with some pajamas, a movie (Hello– $5 dollar bin at Walmart!), some hot cocoa mix, and some snacks to munch on during the movie. The great thing about this is, you can create your own box. I have picky children so we tend to switch things up at our house.
Hopefully, these Christmas gift ideas will help you out this Christmas Season. Shopping is hard; adding the perfect gift to the list is even harder. I am a firm believer that getting a headstart is the key to success. So much so, I am about to hit up the movie bin at Walmart!
