4 Christmas Gift Ideas for the Family
Struggling to find Christmas gift ideas for the family? Struggle no more! Below is a list of four Christmas gift ideas for the family that will fit just about any budget.
For Mom:
A really nice gift idea for mom is a gift basket. Simply put together a few items she likes; you know, things like the new book from her favorite author, a nice smelling face mask, her favorite scented candle, a few bath bombs, and her favorite candy. Giving handpicked gift baskets tend to mean more because they are catered to the specific likes of the receiver.
For Dad:
Dads can sometimes be hard to buy for, especially at Christmas. Good solid gift ideas for dads would be monogrammed wallets, pocket knives, and insulated coffee mugs. Trust me, with these three things you cannot go wrong. Each one will get used at some point in time and they will last a good while too!
For Kids:
This is tricky, depending on the age of your children. For small babies and toddlers, I recommend age-appropriate items. Stuffed animals, educational DVDs, or educational toys are always a great choice. For older kids and teens I recommend gift cards. Getting gift cards for specific things is my usual go-to. Some people feel gift cards are impersonal. If the gift cards are catered to the likes of the receiver they are actually very personal. Some kids love downloading music so iTunes gift cards are perfect. Some love downloading games on their phones or paying to play certain games, so Google Play cards are perfect. You just have to figure out who likes what and personalize it the best way you know.
For the Whole Family:
These gifts depend on the likes/dislikes of the family as a whole. Movie passes for the whole clan are always a great gift. The holiday season always means some good movies are about to come out. For 2020 it might be a good idea to give instead a Netflix or Amazon Prime voucher instead of a movie pass. What better way to enjoy it than having the family together? Season passes for amusement parks and zoos are also a great family gift. In some cases, depending on the size of the family and the ages of the kids, discounts are offered on the passes. Last, but not least, one of my favorite family gifts: matching pajamas. Some may think this is corny but matching pajamas are actually a really neat gift idea. Nothing beats putting on the pajamas, popping some popcorn, and sitting down as a family to watch a movie. Hey, you might even talk everyone into wearing them to the theatre when you use your family movie passes!
These ideas are great for individual family members and the family as a whole. Since they are budget-friendly you can do any of them or all of them. Whichever you choose is sure to be appreciated and that makes it all worth it.
