5 Great Christmas Decoration Ideas
Surely I cannot be the only who who struggles with Christmas decorations. I never know what stuff to put up or really even how to put stuff up. Below you will find five Christmas decoration ideas that even I can manage.
A Tree:
Okay, this seems a little obvious considering we are talking about Christmas and all, right? Wrong! I actually know someone who didn’t put up a tree for a few years because they didn’t know how. Before you say it, it wasn’t me! A Christmas tree (or three) is the perfect thing to start off your decorations. They can be big or small; it doesn’t really matter. This is actually a two-step procedure though because once you get the tree up, you have to decorate it! This can be as easy as adding a few strands of lights and a tree topper. It doesn’t have to be fancy by any means.
A Door Cover:
Door covers are a great Christmas decoration. They are inexpensive and in some cases, cover the whole door. I really enjoy the fact that they are not hard to put on. All you need is a decorative door cover and some tape. Now, if you really want to decorate, there are covers that are two sided and covers that attach with velcro. These are a little more expensive but still reasonably priced. If you are anything like me, the simpler something is to do, the better off I am.
A Wreath:
Wreaths are another inexpensive and easy-to-do Christmas decoration. All you need is a wreath, a hammer, and a nail. I actually use a few nails because hanging things up never goes as planned when I am the one in charge. Wreaths come in a wide variety of sizes, colors, and decorations. Yes, you read that right: you can get them already decorated. If that isn’t a win, I don’t know what is!
Lights:
I actually have a love/hate relationship with Christmas lights. I absolutely love them when they are all hung up and shining in the night, but I absolutely hate hanging them up! Christmas lights come in solid colors, mixed colors, alternating/blinking colors, big bulbs, small bulbs, and they even have icicle shaped ones. They can be hung up inside or outside. I really like it when I see front doors outlined in them and they pair up great with door covers.
Inflatables:
Inflatables are decorations that you blow up and put in your yard. They come in a wide range of sizes, characters, and prices. Some are as low as $19.99 and some can get up into the $399.99 range (and higher!). You can check out some great Christmas inflatables here on Amazon. One day I will show off my mad skills and put one up. Until then, I will just play it safe with door covers and lights while I share the idea of inflatables with the world.
Now that you have a list, what are you waiting for?! Christmas will be here before you know it. Which reminds me, I need to start looking for some nails and a hammer.
